APE are extremely pleased to add to our range, two new and very innovative plastic piling products, the Truline Series 800 and Series 1200.  These products not only complement our existing product range, but also share our ideology of adoptive technology.

Rather than market products as a replacement for this and that, our extensive range works alongside existing technology and methods.  In the case of truline the product is infilled with either gravel or concrete, and so benefits from increased load bearing whilst the concrete is protected by the plastic from the elements.

Truline proves that although all plastic sheet piling may have similar material properties, they are not neccessarily the same.  Truline has been created and developed to:

  • be an innovative design alternative, not another "me-too" low cost option;
  • be an inherently stronger design alternative than corrugated plastic piling;
  • make it easier and faster to form a concrete cap;
  • provide property owner with a more refined appearance to enhance the environment not detract with artifically repeated corrugations;
  • provide a strong retaining wall solution that is completely flat frontaged providing an internal french drain for better drainage;
  • provide better erosion and scour protection, its double skin providing a back up layer in cases of impact damage;
  • help reduce noise and scouring that occurs with old fashioned corrugated plastic piles;
  • provide engineers and contractor with a design and fill option that can be tailored to the job.

Truline's dual-interlocking design reinforces the integrity of the joints between the parts from top to bottom.  Not only increasing the water tighteness over old fashioned single interlocks, but acts against unzipping and maintains straight line installation.

Truline publishes engineering specification in accordance with full scale performance data by an accredited independent testing laboratory rather than rely on theorectical specifications.

Truline Series 800 and 1200 represent the heavier duty sections of APE plastic piling range with bending moments as high as 49 kNm/m and Section Modulus as high as 2258 cm3/m!

The Truline Products are based around a unique U channel design, and auxillary components such as end plates, and angles.  These piles and components are then filled with gravel and concrete, a modern development based upon adopting the benefits of gabions and internally more substantial concrete capping.

The Truline system of multi-use components allows for:

  • The versatility to create piled walls for various land configurations while maintaining joint integrity.
  • The ability to configure wall returns to protect the new wall from failure of adjacent walls.
  • Unique methods for joing Truline to an existing concrete wall.

The Unique U-Channel design results in:

  • A smooth, flat external wall surface improving aesthetics through complete elimination of traditional corrugations.
  • The capability of the wall sections to be filled with gravel improving the strength and enhancing the drainage characteristics,
  • Less complicated formwork requirements, reducing installation time whilst create a more substantial integral capping system.
  • Stiffer sections of a uniform configuration maximising installation speeds, as sheet fleining is virtually eliminated.
  • Double interlocking.
